Statement of faith

What we believe in

About the Bible

We believe that Christ's teaching and attitude toward the absolute truth and supreme authority of the Bible, the Word of God, makes Scripture our rule for faith and practice. That is, what we believe and how we live.

About God

We believe that there is only one triune God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all that exists and the One who sustains creation. God is the only uncreated being, existing by Himself, eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent. He is sovereign over all creation.

About Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly human, the unique, sure, and sufficient revelation of who God is. Christ is the truth, the only way to the Father, and the only name by which we can be saved.

As a man, he lived a life of perfect obedience, without sin, and died on the cross at Calvary as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. He rose bodily on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory to establish his Kingdom, which will have no end.

About the Holy Spirit

He is the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates the believer, dwells in him, and sanctifies him.

The Holy Spirit perfects the saints for the work of ministry, molding their character and empowering them with supernatural gifts and manifestations, according to His sovereignty, for the purpose of building up the church.

About Human Beings

We believe that human beings were created in the image and likeness of God, with the purpose of enjoying eternal communion with Him. However, sin distorted that image and separated man from God.

Because of sin, the world became corrupt, and apart from God's grace, man has no possibility of regenerating or saving himself. The only hope for man, and for the world, is the redemption that God offers us through His grace and mercy.

About Salvation

We believe that the only basis for our acceptance by God is what Jesus Christ did on the cross, where He took away our sin, reconciled us to God, gave us a new nature, and sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.

Therefore, we contribute nothing to our salvation. We receive His redemption solely by grace through faith.

About the Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, a living organism that receives its life, strength, and purpose from God Himself. The church cannot do anything on its own; it cannot do anything apart from God.

We believe that as a church we are called to serve God in every area of our lives, both secular and spiritual, public and private. Our mission is to make disciples of all nations. This involves preaching the Gospel to those who are lost, serving our brothers and sisters to bring them to spiritual maturity, and preparing them for the work of ministry.

Since God is sovereign and almighty, He does not need our help; however, in His wisdom, He decided to act and manifest Himself in the world through His church, so our service to Him is not in vain.

About the future

We believe that Christ will return physically to establish a kingdom that will never be shaken nor come to an end. He will judge each person according to their deeds, and those who have accepted His grace will live eternally with Him, but those who have rejected Him will receive eternal punishment.
