MCI Church

42 Years of Legacy

Our History

The International Charismatic Mission (MCI Church) was born on March 19, 1983, in Bogotá, Colombia, with eight people gathered in the living room of Pastors Cesar and Emma Claudia Castellanos' home. The birth of the MCI Church came as a result of a word that Pastor Cesar received from God on one of Colombia's beaches. God said to him, “Dream of a very large church, because dreams are the language of my Spirit. For the church you will shepherd will be as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore, which cannot be counted.” At that time, Pastor Cesar had only one sheep, which was his wife. The dream seemed impossible, but nothing is impossible for God.

The church was born in a time marked by violence and drug trafficking, and our pastors had another dream: that for every person who left Colombia carrying drugs, MCI could send two missionaries carrying the Gospel. Over time, and thanks to God's faithfulness, the church has grown so that it can begin to see the fulfillment of that dream. Currently, MCI has 85 locations in Colombia and 84 internationally, of which 21 are in the United States and 7 are located in the state of Florida.

Iglesia pequeña

A large church and a small church

MCI Church was inspired by Pastor David Yongii Cho's church, Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, Korea. Working in small groups, also known as cell groups, was key to unprecedented growth in our church.

Although tens of thousands of people attended our services every weekend, we also met in cell groups in homes. It is here that we have a group of friends who know us, encourage us, support us in prayer, and where we grow in every area, grounded in the Word of God.

Nuestros Pastores y Fundadores

Our Pastors and Founders

Pastors César and Emma Claudia Castellanos founded MCI Church and the G12 Vision, believing in God's dream. At age 18, Pastor César had a life-changing encounter with Jesus, and at age 14, Pastor Emma Claudia decided to trust God's purpose for her life. As leaders, they have built a church that brings hope, faith, and restoration, training disciples and reaching thousands of families around the world through leadership and vision.

They are parents to five children, all involved in full-time ministry, and grandparents to 13 grandchildren. Not only did they raise a church that is a light to the nations, but they also devoted themselves to their home and raised a family for God.
